Love it or hate it, sports gambling is coming to Missouri. As of Monday, it will be legal to place bets from your phone or computer on all types of sporting events.

Missouri’s problem gambling helpline (888-BETS-OFF) is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for support, resources and referrals to anyone affected by problem gambling.
The Missouri Gaming Commission offers a voluntary exclusion program for problem gamblers to acknowledge they have a problem. You can sign up online or at any Missouri casino.
According to the Mayo Clinic, compulsive gambling symptoms can include:
Being preoccupied with gambling
Needing to gamble with increasing amounts of money to get the same thrill
Trying to control gambling, without success
Feeling restless or irritable when you try to cut down on gambling
Gambling to escape problems or relieve feelings of helplessness, guilt, anxiety or depression
Trying to get back lost money by gambling more (chasing losses)
Lying to family members or others to hide the extent of your gambling
Risking or losing important relationships, a job, or school or work opportunities because of gambling
Asking others to bail you out of financial trouble because you gambled money away
