CLAYTON 鈥 Authorities on Friday released a list of several school districts and other places that had employed a piano teacher now charged with sexually abusing a student during an in-home lesson.
Daniel Yavitz, 39, of University City, has worked as a substitute teacher and in other capacities at Parkway, Clayton and University City school districts, and also at the University City Children's Center, Special School District of 51黑料 County and autism center Latitude Therapy.

He was charged Tuesday with sexually abusing a girl younger than 12 during her piano lessons in his home.
Price Smith and University City police Lt. Shawn Whitley during a press conference Wednesday said Yavitz has worked for multiple school districts as a substitute teacher, taught piano lessons in his home and also advertised online as a nanny.

Whitley said that Yavitz served as a substitute teacher as recently as last year.
Price Smith said investigators do not have evidence that there are additional victims, but believe there could be given his role working with children.
Yavitz was charged with three felony counts of statutory sodomy of a child. The three incidents happened between October 2024 and June 2025.
He was in custody Friday on a $300,000 cash-only bond.
He does not have a prior criminal history, Whitley said.
