5 key questions Mizzou football will need to answer in December
COLUMBIA, Mo. — Here comes December, college football’s messy blend of postseason, offseason and preseason.
Twelve teams will make the College Football Playoff, while a handful more are playing in conference championship games. Several dozen more will play bowl games that are more about getting an early look at next year’s contributors than anything else. Through it all, coaches will move jobs, and players will prep for the transfer portal’s Jan. 2 opening.

Here are the bowl games Mizzou football could end up playing
COLUMBIA, Mo. — Who's up for a bowl game?
Missouri finished the regular season 8-4 overall and 4-4 against Southeastern Conference opponents following the Tigers' 31-17 win over Arkansas on Saturday.Ìý
Mizzou's win over Arkansas that closed out the regular season wasn't much to write home about. And at this stage of the season, there isn't a ton to learn from the advanced stats, either.
But from the effectiveness of tailback Ahmad Hardy to a lack of defensive rotation, there are still some takeaways to be had within Pro Football Focus' trove of grades and snapcounts.
A tale of 2 tunnels: Inside Mizzou coach Eli Drinkwitz's decision to sign extension, stay
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — This is a tale of what happened in two football stadium tunnels 250 miles and one week apart, the story of how Missouri kept its football coach and what comes next for him.

Eli Drinkwitz went for a ride Saturday, fresh off signing a six-year, $64.5 million contract extension earlier in the week. After his Tigers beat Arkansas 31-17 for the fourth consecutive year to retain the Battle Line Trophy, he climbed aboard as defensive end Zion Young wheeled the colossal bit of collateral put on the line for each regular-season finale toward the tunnel.
