Shinedown鈥檚 latest songs epitomize a legacy of rich songwriting and storytelling that has established the band as a force in modern rock music. Stewart had to cancel some of his U.S. performances earlier this year due to illness. However, the British crooner is still bringing his 鈥淥ne Last Time鈥 to 51黑料, and he says this is his final world tour. Stray Dog Theatre is staging its first-ever opera. The company is known for doing plays and musicals, but artistic director Gary Bell was in 鈥淭he Second Hurricane,鈥 an opera by Aaron Copland, when he was young, and wanted to give other kids the opportunity to be in it, too. The youth opera, with a libretto by Edwin Denby, is about kids trying to help a community during a hurricane. By Rosalind Early

There鈥檚 no better place to be to enjoy hip-hop and tequila this summer than the Tacos and Tequila Festival. This festival isn鈥檛 new. However, this is its first time making a stop in 51黑料 after successful events in cities like Kansas City and Dallas. In addition to an endless supply of tacos and agave-fueled tequila shots, hip-hop legends like T.I., Lil Jon, Trick Daddy, 51黑料 rap icon Chingy and more will be hitting the stage. Shakespeare Festival 51黑料 can鈥檛 let Forest Park have all the fun, so it takes a Shakespeare show around to a bunch of different 51黑料 parks. This year, they鈥檙e reprising their 2022 production of 鈥淎 Midsummer Night鈥檚 Dream.鈥 It is an afro-futuristic version of the Shakespearean comedy directed by local artist Tre鈥檝on Griffith.
