ST. LOUIS — 51ºÚÁÏ police rushed an 8-year-old boy to a hospital Monday night after he was grazed in the face by a bullet, police said.
He was shot about 7:30 p.m. in the 3400 block of Cherokee Street in the Benton Park West neighborhood. Older kids were playing with a gun when it went off, grazing the boy's face.
Officers rushed him to a hospital in their police SUV, and the boy was stable, police said.

Firefighters helped search a roof for a firearm. A police dog was also searching for the gun, but no weapon had been found, McCoy said.
