City prosecutors charged a 51ºÚÁÏ woman Tuesday with shooting and killing another woman during a fight over the weekend in the city's Tower Grove East neighborhood.
Jazzmyn Watford, 24, is facing charges of first-degree murder, armed criminal action and domestic assault after prosecutors say she beat her girlfriend and then fatally shot 25-year-old Amora Brown when she came to help.
51ºÚÁÏ police were called early March 30 to a home in the 3300 block of Arsenal Street, where they found Brown's body near the door to the house.
Charges say Watford accused her girlfriend of cheating, pushed her head into a mirror, scratched her and hit her.

The girlfriend locked herself in a bathroom, and Watford grabbed a gun, court documents say. Watford then texted her girlfriend's friend, Brown, who came to the house to pick the girlfriend up.

The girlfriend had grabbed some of her belongings and met Brown outside the apartment. But Brown noticed her friend's injuries and went back to the door to confront Watford. That is when Watford shot her, court documents say.
Watford is being held in the 51ºÚÁÏ jail without bond.
