ST. LOUIS 鈥 The city鈥檚 top fiscal body approved plans to spend $30 million in interest on the Rams relocation settlement on tornado relief.
Mayor Cara Spencer, Comptroller Donna Baringer and Aldermanic President Megan Green, who comprise the city鈥檚 Estimate Board, all supported the measure.
The money will be available to help repair damaged homes, pay for temporary housing for displaced residents, fix broken infrastructure and bolster nonprofits helping with recovery, among other things.
It adds to $100 million in state aid approved over the weekend and聽tens of millions more聽in federal aid.
The Board of Aldermen is set to take final votes on the measure on Tuesday.
