UPDATED at 11:20 a.m. with homicide total year-to-date
ST. LOUIS • Police say they have no suspects or motive in the fatal shooting of a man Thursday morning in the city's Gravois Park neighborhood.
On Friday, police identified the victim as Derrick E. Williams, 55, of the 5200 block of Louisiana Avenue.
Williams was gunned down Thursday morning in the 3600 block of Nebraska Avenue, just south of Miami Street. The area is in the of south 51ºÚÁÏ.
Someone called police about 8:30 a.m. Thursday to report a person on the ground. Officers arrived to find Williams bleeding from a gunshot wound to his head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have no suspects in Williams' death and did not release a possible motive in the case.
Police say 51ºÚÁÏ has had 68 homicides so far this year. At this time last year, the count was 67, said Police Officer Michelle Woodling.
