COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri football kicked off the holiday weekend by adding another verbal commitment to its 2026 recruiting class.
Tony Forney, a three-star safety from Marietta, Georgia, announced Friday that he plans to play for the Tigers. He picked Mizzou over Georgia, Auburn, Wisconsin and Pitt.Â
Forney stands 5-foot-11, 180 pounds and is the No. 82 safety prospect in the 2026 class, per 247Sports.Â
He's now the 10th member of MU's recruiting class, and just the second defensive player in that group. More commitments could be headed Missouri's way soon, with a wave of prospects announcing their decision in the next week.Â
