Mizzou prepped for its first road game differently this year. Will it help against Auburn?
COLUMBIA, Mo. — When the Missouri football team kicks off its first road game of the season Saturday night in Auburn’s Jordan-Hare stadium, it will be running a study of sorts.
The question to be unscientifically answered: Is it possible for a college football team to immunize against the ills of playing on the road for the first time in a given season?

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Staying poised in front of a sold-out crowd at night. Getting pressure against a quarterback prone to succumbing under it. Pulling off crunch-time plays against a team desperate to stop its losing skid.
All three will be key for No. 16 Missouri (5-1, 1-1 Southeastern Conference) as it ventures on the road for the first time this season to face Auburn (3-3, 0-3) this week. Kickoff is set for 6:45 p.m. Saturday from Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama. The game will be televised on the SEC Network and broadcast locally over the radio on KTRS (550 AM and 106.1 FM).

Trying to 'refuse blame' for Bama defeat, Mizzou heads to Auburn to find 'winning play'
COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri football is in for a test of its resolve, a test of whether it can make marginal improvements in the margins of the game.
It was no secret that this month’s games would put Mizzou in situations where it needed to win matchups decided by one score and just a few key plays. The Tigers saw that against Alabama and may very well see it again at Auburn on Saturday and Vanderbilt next week, which also have the potential to be close games.

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Suffice to say: Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz is not a fan of the college football coaching carousel or the rumor mill that makes it go ’round.
His name has come up and will continue to come up as a potential target for major programs looking for new head coaches.

What's different about Mizzou men's hoops this season? Start with Tigers' size
COLUMBIA, Mo. — Practices have looked different, looked like the difference, for the Missouri men’s basketball team lately.
The most obvious thing about the 2025-26 Tigers, when walking into a gym with them, is the continuity — the lack of differentiation from last season. Power forward Mark Mitchell and point guard Anthony Robinson II are back as the stars. They’ve got returners like wings Trent Pierce and Jacob Crews around them. For all the turnover and movement of modern college sports, there are a lot of familiar faces within Mizzou Arena.
