Guard Josiah Dotzler, another player who missed most of the 51ºÚÁÏ University basketball season with an injury, is now another player who has entered the transfer portal.
On Monday, the first day the portal was open for players looking to transfer, forward AJ Casey entered. Larry Hughes II, who left the program in December, is also in the portal.
Like Casey, Dotzler, a sophomore who transferred to SLU from Creighton, played in only three games before a season-ending injury. His preseason was interrupted by a foot injury, but he saw action in the first three games of the season and was ready to move into the starting lineup when he tore his ACL and MCL in practice two days before the Wichita State game on Nov. 22.
Dotzler averaged 11.6 minutes in his three games, scoring nine points. He had played in 19 games for Creighton as a true freshman in 2023-24 as Creighton reached the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament.
