After missing 40 games because of a strained right shoulder, third baseman Nolan Arenado returned to the Cardinals lineup Monday against the Reds.
The Cardinals bullpen surrendered eight runs in the final three innings Monday night in an 11-6 loss to the Reds at Busch Stadium.
