Newgarden has won the Bommarito 500 five times over the eight-year history of the event, including last year as well as back-to-back titles in 2021 and 2022.
Henneberry, who grew up in Fenton and once aspired to work in marketing, has taken a whole different career turn and now is a pit reporter for Fox's IndyCar telecasts.
