The Shah Garg Collection is a group of female artists based in San Francisco who create art in any number of media. This exhibition displays more than 80 works by the likes of Elizabeth Murray, Mary Weatherford and Joan Mitchell, whose paintings were paired with those of Claude Monet in a 2023 exhibition at the 51黑料 Art Museum. It looks like the beloved Gateway Grizzlies are going to be the only team to make it into any baseball playoffs this year. The Frontier League team will host Game 3 (and potentially Games 4 and 5) of the Midwest Conference Finals against the mighty Schaumburg Boomers. Come cheer on a team that wins. The Miracle League gives children and adults with disabilities the chance to play baseball. A total of five games will be played, featuring 10 teams from all over (including five local athletes). It鈥檚 a chance for the players to make friends, build self-esteem and, of course, play the national pastime. Despite the deceptive name, this is actually one of several Miracle League All-Star games held in different cities throughout the baseball season. By Daniel Neman

This year鈥檚 pride festival in Alton includes an 11:30 a.m. pet parade, a noon performance by the Fabulous Freebirds, a drag show featuring kings and queens of previous Alton pride festivals at 2:30 p.m., a 4 p.m. performance by cover band Flip the Frog and a 6 p.m. drag show featuring a bunch of local folks (our vote for best name goes to Shelbie Reightback). The pleasantly fictionalized version of the Renaissance returns to Wentzville for the 27th time, featuring jousting, games (including axe throwing, knife throwing and star throwing), pony rides, giant puppets, a maze, birds of prey and such traditional Renaissance fair fare as turkey legs, nachos and bacon pizza. Boo Fest, for the kids, features a trick-or-treat trail and what they are calling family-friendly activities, along with the usual rides.
