COLUMBIA Mo. — Missouri defensive end Damon Wilson II has sued the athletic association at Georgia, his former school, upping the stakes of a legal battle over name, image and likeness rights that could have wider ramifications for college sports.

Wilson’s lawsuit, filed Tuesday in Boone County, counters Georgia’s previous effort to bring the star college football player to arbitration over his transfer. The 42-page complaint filed by Wilson’s attorneys disputes the enforceability of a term sheet he signed at Georgia and goes on the offensive, alleging the school waged a “coordinated campaign to financially punish Wilson� over his exit.

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri will pay new offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey $3.8 million dollars across the three years of his initial contract with the school.

The deal, which is fully guaranteed, will pay Lindsey $1.1 million for each the 2026 and 2027 seasons, which is actually a savings for the school: Kirby Moore, his predecessor, was making $1.5 million this season.

The veteran assistant, who has play-calling and head-coaching experience, will take over the Tigers' offense after one season as Michigan's offensive coordinator.
