Mizzou men's basketball sees another assistant depart, looks to hire a general manager
COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri men’s basketball now has two openings on its coaching staff after associate head coach Charlton “C.Y.†Young departed Tuesday to take the same position at Miami.
Young, who spent three years as the top assistant on head coach Dennis Gates’ staff at Mizzou, is heading back to his hometown to join new Hurricanes coach Jai Lucas.

With the college basketball transfer portal open for roughly one more week, the Missouri men’s basketball team’s 2025-26 roster is coming into focus. The Tigers have lost three players to the portal and brought in four, leaving coach Dennis Gates two more roster spots to fill.

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Mizzou football won't be signing the highest-rated recruit in the state for the 2026 cycle.
Star Nixa offensive lineman Jackson Cantwell announced the final four schools he's considering, and MU isn't on the list — Georgia, Oregon, Ohio State and Miami are. While the Tigers had been trending out of the mix for the nation's No. 3 overall recruit, according to 247Sports' rankings, it seemed like they'd have a chance to push for his signature.

Mizzou men's basketball adds a center, loses a center to transfer portal
COLUMBIA, Mo. — The transfer portal giveth and the transfer portal taketh away, sometimes all within half an hour.
Missouri men's basketball added a 7-foot center to its roster and then, some 25 minutes later, lost a 7-foot freshman to the portal, filling one need while failing to retain a developmental player.Â

COLUMBIA, Mo. — There are a lot of adjectives that can be used to describe new Missouri tailback Ahmad Hardy.
Shifty is one of them. With Louisiana-Monroe for his true freshman season, Hardy forced 93 missed tackles in 2024, which was the second most in the nation, according to Pro Football Focus. The leader in that metric? Ashton Jeanty, the Boise State running back who finished second in Heisman Trophy voting.
