COLUMBIA, Mo. — Friday night’s Missouri men’s basketball home opener fell somewhere between the unflinchingly positive vibe of head coach Dennis Gates’ initial postgame assessment and the sky-is-falling feeling that crept into Mizzou Arena at various times throughout the game.
