All-Metro boys lacrosse first team

Justin Bishop, sophomore, MICDS
Bishop posted a strong spring for the Class 2 champion Rams. He poured in 47 goals, including four in the title game, and amassed 59 points on his way to being named to the Class 2 all-state first team.

Camden Chambers, senior, CBC

Chambers enjoyed an outstanding final season in helping the Cadets to a runner-up finish in Class 2, earning a nod as a first-team all-state player. He was brilliant on faceoffs, winning 78 percent of the draws, which was good for second among area players. Chambers has signed to play at Benedictine.

Bryce Horner, senior, CBC
Horner was an offensive force this spring for the Class 2 runner-up Cadets. He tossed in 51 goals (seventh in the area) and added 24 assists for 75 points (sixth) to garner a selection to the Class 2 all-state first team. Horner has signed to play at Elmhurst.

Mick Murphy, senior, Priory
Murphy, a two-time all-state player, had a strong finish to his career with the Ravens, who advanced to the Class 2 semifinals. He scored 36 goals and compiled 24 assists for 60 points this season, despite missing five game due to injury. Murphy plans to walk on at Utah.

Jack Parent, senior, Priory
Parent was a solid offensive weapon this spring for the Class 2 semifinalist Ravens. He scored 41 goals and tallied 54 points on his way to a Class 2 all-state first team selection.

Colin Pim, senior, Priory
Pim was once again one of the area’s top goalies this season. The two-time all-American and three-time Class 2 all-state first teamer posted a 13-5 record with a 7.29 goals against average, while making 236 saves (second in the area). Pim plans to walk on at Villanova.

Joey Potter, senior, CBC
Potter was a major part of the defense this season for the Class 2 runner-up Cadets. He posted 78 ground balls and added 39 caused turnovers on his way to a Class 2 first-team all-state selection. Potter has signed to play at Maryville.

Ian Spakowski, junior, MICDS
Spakowski was one of several offensive weapons this spring for the Class 2 champion Rams. He found the back of the cage 47 times and compiled 53 points to garner a selection to the Class 2 all-state first team.

Javonte Tiller, senior, Lindbergh
Tiller posted another strong campaign for the Flyers. The Suburban West Conference player of the year and Class 2 all-state first-team performer produced 59 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers. Tiller will play at Mars Hill (N.C.).

Leyton Usry, junior, Parkway West
Usry continued his strong run for the Longhorns with another solid season. He tied for eighth in the area scoring race with 73 points and ranked sixth with 52 goals to earn a nod as a Class 2 all-state first-team player.

Luke Wolfard, senior, Lindbergh
Wolfard, a Class 2 all-state first team selection, was an offensive force this spring for the Flyers. He finished fifth among all area players with 56 goals and 81 points. Wolfard has signed to play at Rockhurst.
All-Metro boys lacrosse second team
Porter Bottomley, freshman, SLUH
Bottomley made an immediate impact for the Class 2 semifinalist Junior Billikens this season with 47 goals and 64 points to garner a Class 2 second-team all-state nod.
Luca Daly, junior, Chaminade
Daly posted a strong spring campaign for the Red Devils, producing 203 faceoff wins and 102 ground balls to earn a Class 2 second-team all-state selection.
Graham Faust, junior, MICDS
Faust, who was selected to the Class 2 all-state second team, was an instrumental piece in the Rams’ run to a second successive Class 2 title, scooping up 41 ground balls and scoring 20 goals, five of which came in the state championship.
Chris Garlich, junior, CBC
Garlich, a Class 2 all-state second-team performer, tossed in 22 goals and scooped up 31 ground balls this spring for the Class 2 runner-up Cadets. Garlich has given a verbal commitment to Bellarmine.
Mikey Gutchewsky, junior, MICDS
Gutchewsky was a steady presence this season for the Class 2 champion Rams. He scored 24 goals and added 21 assists for 45 points, while also corralling 46 ground balls to nab a Class 2 second-team all-state selection.
Wes Harvey, senior, Priory
Harvey was a key piece to the Ravens’ defense this season. He scooped up 50 ground balls and caused 23 turnovers for the Class 2 semifinalists, earning a spot on the Class 2 all-state second team.
Jack McManus, senior, De Smet
McManus was selected to the Class 2 all-state second team and was named the Metro Catholic Conference offensive player of the year this spring after posting a steady line of 27 goals and 28 assists for 55 points, while also scooping up 58 ground balls.
Peter O’Leary, junior, MICDS
O’Leary was once again a key piece to another Rams championship season, winning 189 faceoffs (sixth in the area) and collecting 100 ground balls (15th) to earn a selection to the Class 2 all-state second team.
Henry Rebstock, junior, Chaminade
Rebstock was a key defender for the Red Devils this season, scooping up 45 ground balls and causing 12 turnovers to lead to a Class 2 all-state second team selection.
Nick Ridgway, senior, SLUH
Ridgway, an academic All-American and a Class 2 all-state second-team player, paced the defense for the state semifinalist Junior Billikens this spring with 45 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers.
Cooper Terry, senior, Kirkwood
Terry had another strong offensive campaign, tying for eighth in the area with 48 goals and finishing 12th in the area scoring race with 67 points to net a Class 2 all-state second-team selection.
All-Metro boys lacrosse third team
Henry Barreca, senior, De Smet
Barreca anchored the Spartans’ defense this season, recording 48 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers.
Johnny Brison, junior, John Burroughs
Brison was the area’s top faceoff specialist in terms of percentage this season, winning 183 of 232 draws (78.9 percent), earning a spot on the Class 1 all-state first team.
Oliver Brown, sophomore, Edwardsville
Brown was a strong offensive performer this spring, scoring 57 goals (fourth in the area) and amassing 74 points, which ranked him seventh in the area scoring race.
Owen Dill, senior, Vianney
Dill, a Class 1 all-state first-team selection, collected 156 ground balls (for an area-best average of 10.4 per game) and caused 82 turnovers (second in the area) this season. Dill has signed to play at Coker.
Alex Kelly, sophomore, De Smet
Kelly led the Spartans this spring with 36 goals and added 10 assists to total 46 points.
Brendan Kelly, senior, SLUH
Kelly was a strong offensive player for the Class 2 semifinalist Junior Billikens this season with 37 goals and 18 assists for 55 points, while also scooping up 45 ground balls.
Griffin Lobdell, senior, Lafayette
Lobdell ranked ninth in the area this year with 111 ground balls collected, while winning 140 faceoffs for a nearly 65 percent success rate.
Colin McCammon, senior, Parkway West
McCammon led all area players with 89 caused turnovers and ranked 10th in the area with 108 ground balls collected this season.
Jackson Meyer, senior, Wentzville
Meyer, a Class 1 all-state first-team selection, was one of the area’s most potent offensive threats this spring with 76 goals and 39 assists for 115 points, leading the area in both goals and points and ranking second in assists.
Andrew Mullen, senior, Parkway South
Mullen finished third in the area in both goals (61) and points (90) this season to help lead the Patriots to the Class 1 championship.
Logan Schepis, senior, Eureka
Schepis had a consistent stat line of 73 ground balls, 37 caused turnovers and 29 points for the Wildcats this spring.
